Hatha Yoga and Meditation
Yoga and Meditation, taught in a systematic and holistic way, suitable for every body.
I run weekly yoga classes in Bristol and in Stroud, monthly meditation sessions in Stroud, one-to-one sessions, full day sessions, and classes or workshops for the workplace.

I also offer final class assessments for yoga teachers-in-training and mentoring for new (or not-so new!) yoga teachers who would like on-going professional support.
What are classes like?
Classes generally last 1½ hours and include a balance of postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), and deep relaxation (Yoga Nidra) or a meditation practice (dharana).
The practices of yoga work on all levels - physical, mental, emotional and energetic - and in these classes you are encouraged to pay attention to these different aspects of experience in a spirit of curiosity, compassion and self-acceptance. In this way, you can become more alive to yourself and the world around you.
What experience do I need to attend?
For beginners' courses, no experience is needed. For general courses, a minimum of two years is preferred. I am always happy to have a chat beforehand if you would like to try a class but are not sure if it is the right level for you.
One to one sessions
I also offer individual sessions on a one-off or on-going basis. Yoga is an inherently therapeutic practice, and one-to-one sessions can be very helpful if you cannot make it to a regular weekly class, or have specific needs you would like to address.
I have taught individual sessions to a wide range of individuals, including those with chronic back pain, fybromyalgia, cancer, multiple sclerosis, preparation for and recovery from surgery, pelvic floor weakness after childbirth, anxiety and depression, and terminal illness.
I have also taught individual yoga classes for women who are trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and for postnatal recovery, including sessions specifically tailored to help repair and strengthen the pelvic floor after childbirth.
1:1 sessions are for 1 hour, or 75 minutes. A 1-hour session costs £45, and 75 minutes costs £50.
If you are interested in individual classes, contact me to book, or to ask for more details.
Full day sessions
"Thank you so much for Saturday, it was a beautiful day and I left your yoga studio in a really good place having had such a deeply, peaceful experience." Susie
For those who would like to go further than is possible in a weekly class, I offer whole and half day sessions. More time and space gives us a great opportunity to explore aspects of yoga in more depth. I am open to suggestions for future themes for these days - feel free to make suggestions/requests!
The days are practical and experiential, using a balance of asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra, yoga nidra and some meditative practice. There is also time for discussion and making notes if this is helpful. I aim to be approachable and inclusive and for these days to be inspiring and fun.
Half day sessions for Mums
Weekly classes and one-off workshops are available. Yogic practices significantly improve physical, mental and emotional well-being in the work-place. These sessions provide an invaluable space for staff to learn simple and effective techniques for greater concentration, clarity, and efficiency, even when under pressure.
If you are interested in bringing yoga into your workplace, contact me for more details.
Professional support and mentoring for yoga teachers
I am a qualified assessor of trainee yoga teachers - contact me if you would like me to assess a class, or to find out more.
I work on yoga teacher training and integration courses, and also offer on-ongoing professional support to new teachers on request. If you are interested in some additional mentoring or more general support in your first years of teaching yoga, contact me for more details.
